The SPIRIO's high-resolution playback system uses proprietary software to measure hammer velocity (up to 1020 dynamic levels at a rate of up to 800 samples per second) and proportional pedalling for both the damper pedal and soft pedal (up to 256 pedal positions at a rate of up to 100 samples per second).
Over 12,000 parts in a STEINWAY SPIRIO work in unison to produce the soft trills, delicate pedalling, and thundering fortissimos with unparalleled accuracy, preserving all of the music. Each performance recording is assessed, evaluated and approved by the STEINWAY ARTISTS themselves to reveal every nuance and passion of the original performance. The result is a precise revelation of the pianist's and the piano's entire range of motion and emotion.
